When your son wants flowers for his girlfriend on Valentine’s Day & your mom is a floral designer ❤️
A Prayer For Ian & Becca
Turn up the volume and grab a tissue. I met Becca back in January at a wedding show. She was all set on another venue and was getting ready to place a deposit the very next day when she came upon our booth. I am eternally grateful they chose us for many reasons but mainly because I had the honor to witness the profound love, they had for one another and the love that all their family and friends surrounded them with. It truly was a celebration of love that I will not forget.
She explained they only had about 6 weeks to plan their wedding as Ian was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Many talented vendors came together and created this magical wedding and as you can see magical it was.
Today I was saddened to read a heartfelt update posted by Becca about her beloved Ian.
“Hello friends...
I so desperately wish that I was coming on here to share good news. I wish Ian was the recipient of a miracle. I wish that my hope wasn’t fading. I just wish that what I am about to tell you wasn’t true.
Unfortunately, Ian’s CT scan this week showed that the cancer has grown significantly, and the third line of chemotherapy has failed. We are now moving away from a focus of fighting this cancer and transitioning to hospice care to keep Ian comfortable and hopefully control his pain. Of course, no human can know for certain, but the doctor predicted that Ian has anywhere from 3 weeks to 3 months left here with us.
Please don’t stop your prayers. We need them now more than ever. 💔”
