Too many times, I have gone in to assess homes that were “remodeled so we can age here!” and run into these types of oversights. It is my goal to save people hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars and help them design a tailored, individualized space to fit their abilities and unique needs BEFORE they hire the contractor/remodeler. I believe occupational therapists have a unique understanding of human movement and disease progression while taking into account habits, routines, and preferences that allow for a more comprehensive picture of their environmental needs.
