You'd never know this was the same dog who arrived here a month ago... emaciated and with such badly infected pressure sores on his legs, we couldn't imagine what he had gone through. Ten pounds later, and wounds healed up, Verne has amazed us with his resilience and capacity to love. Verne is finally ready for adoption, and is looking for a loving home that will help him continue to gain weight and teach him how fun life can be.
