This is a great example of what can be done to support local communities, while under Stay at Home orders.
Last week, we learned that there is a shortage of food in our local food banks. Churches and other groups that generally collect food are shut down and due to COVID-19, food banks are not able to receive donated food at their locations.
Therefore, we have entered into a partnership with three local food banks to become a dropoff site for food donations. Our team will store, sort and ensure food is delivered to the food banks that are in dire need of donations.
In honor of GivingTuesdayNow | A Global Day of Unity, beginning tomorrow, May 5th, we are offering a free personal pizza certificate to the first 100 guests that bring in at least 3 cans of non-perishable proteins (e.g Cans of Chilli, Stew, etc).
Certificates will be issued on receipt of the canned goods.
Non-perishable foods will benefit 3 Food Banks in the area:
Nourish Pierce County Tacoma Rescue Mission Emergency Food Network
Along with canned goods, Tacoma Rescue Mission needs these items:
1.Single serving items for sack lunches.(chips, cookies, water, snacks)
2.Any desert items(single serving) for breakfast or dinner.
3.To Go containers
4. Paper napkins, plastic forks, and spoons.
5. Any bagged veggies or apples slices.
6. Sliced cheese, bread, lunch meats

Limit: 1 Certificate per household
