Notice how officials incessantly keep saying that the water is safe to drink. But, they never specifically say whether the vinyl chloride is in the water. Safe to drink simply means if you drink it you won’t suffer an acute response to any contaminants in the water, but you could end up with cancer years from now. Ask the right question. Ask them what the levels of vinyl chloride are in the water.
