In 1965, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. visited Syracuse and delivered a powerful speech on the role of education in the civil rights movement. His words echoed the call for equality, unity, and the transformative power of education—values we hold close at The Communion. As we continue our work in Syracuse, we honor Dr. King's legacy by fostering community, inclusivity, and a commitment to breaking down barriers. ⁠
