Excited to unveil our work with Jamesville-DeWitt Central School District! Over the past year, Vaysen Studio teamed up with students, staff, and leaders to refresh the district’s brand identity—complete with updated logos, a unified color palette, and a new junior Red Rams mascot.
This collaborative project was inspired by ongoing capital improvements, and the new look will start rolling out in the 2025-26 school year—from the J-D High School baseball field to elementary school signage. We’re proud to help reinforce J-D’s core values and foster a sense of belonging among students, staff, families, and the community.
Go Red Rams!

On Saturday, October 19, Kristen Hill (AIA, NCARB, ALEP), Educational Environment Strategist; and Melissa Mountain (ALEP), Interior Designer / Design Strategist will be hosting a 90-minute presentation, “Stakeholder Engagement Methods Design Jam” at the 2024 Association for Learning Environments (A4LE) LearningSCAPES Conference in Portland, OR.
The workshop explores tools, methods, and best practices for engaging stakeholders in the design process and offers perspective on the value of building stakeholder agency and stewardship of their own learning environments.
Vaysen Studio works together with clients to create a custom engagement process that not only results in user-centered, high-performance learning environments; but also lays the groundwork of a change management process allowing stakeholders to step outside their everyday and think about how they can evolve their own thinking and work using the built environment as a tool. Together, in a fun, workshop-style environment, Hill and Mountain will interactively build and test some new methods for engaging with stakeholders while interweaving case studies including the West Irondequoit Central School District Learning Environment Master Plan and Library Media Center Renovations and the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe New Mohawk Elementary School Feasibility Study.
