Goodwill closed the dressing rooms… but that doesn’t mean you have to guess! 👖

Many Goodwill stores removed their dressing rooms to reduce theft, speed up operations, and lower staffing needs. That means shoppers have to get a little creative.

My friend Diane is showing one of her favorite shopping tricks for buying pants when there’s no fitting room.

👖 Step 1: Button and zip the pants. Wrap the waistband around the back of your neck. If the ends meet, the waist will often fit.

📏 Step 2: Hold one pant leg from the crotch seam to the hem alongside your arm. If the hem reaches about your wrist, the length is usually a good fit.

Pro tip: If you’re deciding between two pairs, choose the longer one. It’s easy to hem pants, but you can’t make them longer!

These tricks aren’t foolproof, but they’re a great way to thrift with more confidence.
