Nothing puts me more in a Christmassy spirit that the wonderful smells of gingerbread baking. Made these for our high school band fundraiser.

ENDINGS.... AND GRATITUDE

All journeys must come to an end. This beautiful wedding cake is the last one I create in my 19+ years baking career. For me, this wonderful baking journey will end at the end of this year. It has been an amazing trip . Each year I have got busier than before - however this has taken a physical toll on my body, specially my back. One that I can no longer ignore and push through. I always felt that I was so blessed in this career and was led to create cakes and treats. I Will wait now to see where He leads me next.
Many of my clients came to me as brides but came back for family occasions, baby showers, first birthdays and more. I have LOVED seeing you and your families grow and expand. For others, I started creating cakes when you'll were younger. And it gave me so much joy to be part of your memories - graduations, engagements and even your wedding cakes!!
This business would not have been possible without the support of some key individuals. My husband Steve Murzello has been my support . Literally too - he has been the person responsible for the sturdy supports in my wedding cakes - from the wooden hand cut bases to the support system within and the lifting and transporting of these precious creations
Both my boys have been part of this journey - from cutting parchment papers, sifting ingredients, cutting out fondant accents and lately lifting cakes that I could not. They have given up weekends and fun occasions and I am so thankful . My first supporter - my mom Nancy Ferns for encouraging my love of baking all those years ago and over the years listened to my grumbling, struggles, concerns etc from across the continent. She has never ceased praying for me and encouraging me.
To all my "freindors" - too many to list. Your support and love and encouragement has meant so very much to me. Thank you
And last but not the least - to you my clients - I could not have done this without you.
Your feedback, encouragement and love has kept me going. I am not sure what comes next but I am hopeful.
