" I've always had a soft spot for classic Beetles, and with my dad being a lifelong hot rod enthusiast, the passion was bound to run in the family.

In 2015, I came across this car online in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and knew it had to be mine. From that moment on, it became a true labor of love — transforming, updating, and personalizing it every step of the way.

My dad and I have tackled every upgrade and repair together, turning the process into an unforgettable father–daughter journey. Most recently, we completed a full rewire of the car, bringing everything up to date while ensuring it’s clean, reliable, and safe for the road ahead.

Beyond the garage, this Beetle has connected me to a wider community. I joined a Volkswagen car club, eventually serving as President, and have proudly driven it in countless parades—especially around the holidays, where it’s become a crowd favorite during Christmas festivities."

From the garage to the community, boy to we love to hear the stories! It may start off as a small restoration project but asd many of us know, they tend to connect us to much more than we anticipate. Thank you for sharing your story!

It's a new month and check out our pick for this week's a 1971 Karmann Ghia sent in by Jeff McBride! Here's what they had to say about it:

"Here is my 1971 Ghia Coupe. I have owned her since 2012. I believe I am the sixth owner. She was originally bought in the San Francisco area and was in California until 1997. Then the car moved to the east coast to be restored, but was never finished and was sold again.

I purchased her and decided to redo her in 2014. I did a body-off resto with a friend doing the paint and body including shaving some trim and other custom touches in the House of Kolor's Sunrise Pearl paint. While the body work happened I refreshed the pan and mechanical parts and rebuilt the motor with some friends. I tried to stay close to the original lemon yellow color and later added Porsche 944 seats with a complimentary yellow plaid color and refreshed the carpet and interior along the way.

I thoroughly enjoy driving her and she gets lots of attention whenever we take her out."
