Meet our staff:

Dr. Olmstead has extensive experience treating children and adults diagnosed with learning disabilities, attention deficit disorder (ADD), anxiety, depression, and a number of neurological disorders. Dr. Olmstead is certified in the application of electroencephalogram (EEG) biofeedback, and for more than twelve years has researched, developed, and published a number of specific intervention protocols in the application of AVS. Additionally, she trains licensed therapists in the clinical application of AVS. Dr. Ruth is a pioneer in the research and application of Audio-Visual Stimulation (AVS) systems (commonly known as “Mind Machines”).



Her ground-breaking work in this field is widely published and considered among the most important works detailing the beneficial effects of Mind Machines on children and adults. See links to Dr. Olmstead’s research on:

Meet our staff:

Alex Seidman is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University and is a registered mental health counseling intern. Alex specializes in eating disorders and dual diagnosis. Alex also works with clients working through addictions, personality disorders, depressive disorders, and anxiety disorders. She currently works at a local residential eating disorder treatment center as well as private practice. She works from a dynamic person-centered approach with a focus on helping her clients create their own solutions! Alex is nonjudgmental and compassionate, you will feel heard! Alex comes from a family of psychologists and is a natural therapist; she is easy to talk to! In addition Alex is trained in biofeedback and mindfulness techniques.

Tammy Kunz is our Office Manager and your first contact at Associates in Behavioral Counseling. She has been with our office since 2001. She is friendly, efficient and sensitive to the needs of our clients. She takes care of almost everything in the office. She keeps us organized and running smoothly. We’re pretty sure that you’ll appreciate any encounter you have with her – by phone or in person- she’s delightful and will brighten your day! (Just make her laugh : )
