Dear Lord, I admit there are things I’ve done that I regret. Decisions I wish I could undo. Moments I wish had never happened. And some memories try to speak to me and convince me that I can never move forward. But Your Word says different. It tells me that when I confess my sin, You are faithful and just to forgive me and cleanse me. You don’t remember my wrongs, so why should I? My past may explain the person I used to be, but it does not define or control who I am today. I refuse to allow my past to determine my destiny. Lord, because You are greater than my history, I refuse to stay trapped in guilt. I refuse to live under condemnation or carry shame into the future You are calling me into. You still have a plan and purpose for me. Help me to stop replaying what went wrong and speaking negatively about myself. Instead, help me to see and embrace the freedom You have brought me into. Amen.
