NOVAworks Young Adult Program

Even in Silicon Valley, career paths go far beyond tech, and everyone’s journey is unique. For Audrey it took a leap of faith to leave a computer science program at UC Riverside to pursue her true passion: the culinary arts. Through the Sprouts Chef Training Internship Program, she discovered opportunities that aligned with her dreams.

With NOVAworks’ support, her unpaid internship was transformed into a paid experience, making it possible for her to fully embrace this opportunity. Working with one of our young adult career advisors, she gained career counseling and networking skills, which led to a mentorship with Chef Timothy Humphrey at Ofena restaurant in San Francisco.

Today, we’re thrilled to celebrate Audrey’s success. After completing her internship at Ofena, her hard work and dedication earned her a full-time position at the restaurant. Audrey’s journey reminds us that there are many paths to success in Silicon Valley, and each is as unique as the individual who walks it.
