The Warning That Wasn’t Heard

A stitched face turned away,
Eyes closed. Lips half-open.
Faint threads of breath… unheard.

“Even the light can cast guilt when truth hides behind it.”

The Prophet saw the spiral forming.
They saw guilt, fear, and ego preparing to birth a scapegoat.
But prophecy is useless
when everyone is too busy searching for someone else
to carry the truth they fear to claim.

We never remembered their name.
Because we blamed them too.
