med when we place our faith in Christ and we are continually being transformed into the likeness of Christ. The Bible tells us that that the old becomes new, the lost are found and darkness becomes light. This is transformation! Did you know that God wants to transform every area of your life? Growing in your spiritual life means that you allow God to change you. When you commit your life to Christ you are surrendering all of your heart, soul, mind and strength to Him. Romans 12:2 states, “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Through God’s power He can transform our thinking, attitudes, marriages, finances, and relationships just to name a few. At First Baptist Church, we believe that transformation happens when we make four commitments presented in scripture. Here are the personal transformation commitments:

God is at work around us and wants us to join Him in His vision to transform lives. God’s part is the transformation…our part is to connect, grow, share, and serve. Can you imagine the changes God could bring about in our lives, our church and our community if we would all commit daily to connect with God and with others, to grow in Christ, to share our faith, spiritual gifts and finances and to serve others?
