2026 BSA BBQ Cook Off Sumter SC

The results are in for the 14th Annual BBQ Cook-Off Benefiting Scouting America.

On March 20-21, fifteen competition BBQ teams met at the Sumter American Legion Fair Grounds in Sumter, SC to compete for bragging rights, prizes and trophies. Their first challenge was the Friday Wing Ding. Teams turned in their best chicken wings, always a crowd favorite! Then on Saturday they turned in their pork and rib entries, which were judged by South Carolina Barbeque Association Certified BBQ judges.

Thank you to the organizers, Glenn Button and Emil Wodicka. This was their last event as acting organizers. They have been with the event since the beginning and will be passing the torch to a new team in 2027. The event benefits the Scouting America, Henry Shelor District.
