Saving Sumter's Strays will be at the Touch A Truck Event on June 6th 9:00-12:00 with our special guest Toby the Therapy Dog!
Toby is a six-year old Great Pyrenees who had a stressful start in life. He was bounced around between four different owners before his first birthday due to the unexpected passing of one owner and the incapacitation of another during the COVID pandemic. His current owner adopted him in 2021.
Not knowing where he truly belonged, Toby chose to give his heart and love to everyone he met. As a result, he became a certified therapy dog at the age of three, providing comfort to those in need, elderly and children alike.
From "rescue" to therapy dog, Toby embodies the resilient spirit of the shelter animal who never gives up hope of finding their forever home.
