Blue Ridge Healthcare of Sumter is planning a Book Bag Giveaway for August 13, 2022, from 10am to 12pm open to the community while supplies last. We are seeking donations for school supplies from area businesses to help us meet the goal of 200 book bags for the community.

The items that are needed for the book bag giveaway are: book bags, pencils, paper, scissors, rulers, glue sticks, composition notebooks, 3 prong pocket folders, individual hand sanitizers, Kleenex tissues, and crayons. If you do not have time to shop, monetary donations will be accepted as well.

Donations can be dropped off at our facility (1761 Pinewood Road Sumter, S.C.) Monday – Friday 8:30pm – 5pm. If you are providing monetary donations, please include what the donation is for along with your name and address so our residents can send out thank you cards.

Deadline for donations will be August 8, 2022 @ 5pm.

To all staff of Blue Ridge of Sumter. We will be having our 4th of July celebration this coming Friday July 1, 2022, from 12pm-2pm with a cook out. We will have hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, cupcakes, drinks and water. There will be games just to have a little fun which includes pie in the face and a dunking booth. You will have the opportunity to dunk or pie in the face the following department heads; Jerry Shelton (administrator), Robin Lydick ( Director of Nursing) and Russell Pentz ( Facility Director). Please have your family come have lunch with you if you are working. If you are not working please join us with your family for some good food and games.
