GFWC Valley Volunteers

All 180 residents of the Washington State Soldier's Home in Orting received a Valentine with a Veteran's Star inside from GFWC Valley Volunteers and the Sumner/Bonney Lake VFW. The joint project respectfully retires American Flags. The stars from the blue field are inserted into a small ziplock bag with a business card saying thank you for your service. We meet the first Tuesday of the month at the Sumner VFW Hall, 1705 Willow Street, Sumner WA 98390 from 6 pm to 8 pm. We welcome everyone interested in helping with this project.

The family that bought our house a few years goes to this prom every year. It's a huge, happy part of their year.

They are looking for more volunteers to help with the fun. If you like music, dancing, and smiling faces, consider being a buddy.
