One of the leading researches on the topic Dr. James Levine the director of the Mayo Clinic- ASU Obesity Solutions Initiative summed his years of studies into two sentences. “Sitting is more dangerous than smoking, kills more people than HIV and is more treacherous than parachuting. We are sitting ourselves to death.” Pretty hard to believe but, true. To minimize sitting and the health dangers…

-Take a one-to-three minute break every half-hour during the day to stand/ take a walk

-Try to start adding walking meeting to your work calendar

-Gradually reduce your daily sitting time 15 to 20 minutes per day, aiming for two to three fewer sedentary hours over a 12-hour day.

We have been lead to believe that if a healing modality doesn’t come from a big corporation it’s witch craft. It certainly is not the case. We all have the ability to heal our selves, and when we use healing modalities like Tia Chi, Mediator, Yoga, Ta**ra, herbs, and bio feedback tools they are legitimate as any pill.
