Smahrt Girl was initially established for teen girls who grew up in small towns with little access or exposure to programs and resources much like those available in more progressive cities. I was that girl. Mentoring, Camps and other supplemental learning opportunities was scarce. So God gave me the vision for Smahrt Girl!

The name Smahrt Girl came from my mom. Like most girls, my mother was my biggest champion and cheerleader! “You’re a smart girl , Pam. You will figure it out”. She said this to me my entire life. In fact, I can still hear her voice. Believe it or not, Smahrt Girl was just as much her organization. I can’t tell you how many times she gave my personal cell number out, encouraging girls or their moms to call me for assistance. She loved working with the girls just like she did with me. She was our CEO- Chief Encouragement Officer!

These girls right here… they truly fill my heart. I am so proud of them! I love bragging on them and I love seeing them in the room surrounded by other amazing women!
