I did something the other night!

My church has a pumpkin patch every year, and they sell pumpkins throughout October. Many people in the area come to take pictures and buy pumpkins. The money raised goes to help them have money for work camp. Work camp is where Junior High and High schoolers go out into the community and serve. They work in a local food pantry and/or repair roofs or other things on houses. Sometimes, they go out of town and serve in different communities. The money raised goes toward these work camp expenses.

The other day, I sold our greeting card boxes at the pumpkin patch to help the youth group make even more money. The boxes are $30 for 30 cards and they look like handmade cards. It is so convenient to have what ever card you need at your house and grab and go. Saves you money and time.

I still have a few boxes left over so if you want a box, just let me know and I will personally deliver a box to you if you are in the Houston area.

We might not have made our goal of giving away 1000 books to teachers, BUT we got close to our goal by giving away 750 books, so that is the only thing that matters!

I love dreaming big, and I am so thankful that I have a community of people who support my book drives.

I can't wait to get the books, show the teachers our support, and see the children's faces light up!

Can you imagine if you are in kindergarten or first grade and you get to come home from school with a new hardback book about dinosaurs?

This experience would be so much fun, but especially if you did not have hardly any books at home. This book is about all the fun ways to read in a fort, under a tree etc.

So Far, I have been able to collect enough donations to benefit 33 classes. I am currently trying to get to 50.

The dinosaurs book is currently only $1 with PaperPie and it is not out of stock yet, so please let me know if you would like to donate $20 or more for a classroom.
