We're enjoying some heat and humidity while getting some chores done at the small orchard and farm in Northern Wisconsin. We are on dear and horse fly's menu. 😬 Porter doesn't care for the flies.

I hope everyone had a safe Independence Day. This morning I noticed that there were little apples on one of the newly planted Almatinsky Sinap trees. It's amazing to me that this happened given the odds. Here's why:
- few of the newly planted trees even have blossoms
- this tree was planted in a "hole" spot by mature trees; not in a row of newly planted trees
- the same bee has to find these very scattered trees

Nature is simply amazing.
