Feeling safe is the single most important criteria for a relationship. It's not the only thing we need, but none of the other things matter if we don't feel safe physically, psychologically, and emotionally.
Safety is the foundation of all functional relationships.

Love this! It’s so true!
Belonging isn’t, ‘everyone likes me.’
It’s ‘I don’t have to hide.’
That’s findable.
It might not be the whole class.
It might be one person, one team, one table. But it’s out there.

Many of our defenses started as survival strategies. The question isn’t “What’s wrong with me?” but rather “What am I protecting myself from?”
The walls that once kept you safe may now be keeping you disconnected from the life, relationships, and peace you’re seeking.
