In the field looking at some of the residual damage from the dredge. Poor planning. Vote John Dial for Martin County Commissioner District 4 in August.

I went and visited a good friend of mine and local business owner, Carson. We discussed some issues he sees locally and why he’s voting for me. Vote John Dial for Martin County Commissioner District 4.

Lots of talk about dredging. I went to ground zero to see everything for myself. If you want someone in office who understands our waterways, I’m your guy. As a lifelong captain and steward of the waters, I understand how things work. Vote John Dial for Martin County Commissioner District 4.

I attended the Rivers Coalition meeting this morning and learned that more than what we see other than the surface results of the discharge from the dredging. It has been confirmed by divers and people that sampled the sediment from the dredge materials this is so bad for our ecosystem and reefs. How could this be done without proper planning to properly dispose of the material? We can and must do better. This dredging may be needed to maintain the inlet and channel but the material should NOT be ejected into the inlet area.
