3️⃣ Review Travel Advisories. The U.S. State Department assigns advisory levels from Level 1 (Exercise Normal Precautions) to Level 4 (Do Not Travel). Check your destination here: travel.state.gov/destination

4️⃣ Enroll in STEP. The Smart Traveler Enrollment Program provides safety alerts and helps embassies reach you in emergencies. Sign up at step.state.gov

5️⃣ Confirm health coverage. Most U.S. health plans don’t cover international care, and medical evacuations can cost $200,000+. Travel insurance with medical evacuation is strongly recommended - ask us for recommendations during the planning process.
