Water is fun, refreshing, and life-giving — but safety always comes first. Today, on International Water Safety Day, let’s raise awareness about drowning prevention, swimming education, and safe water practices for everyone. 🏊‍♀️🛟

✅ Learn to swim
✅ Supervise children near water
✅ Wear life jackets when boating
✅ Know CPR and emergency response
✅ Respect pools, lakes, rivers, and oceans

May is National Water Safety Month!

Day #2 of LSS sharing highlights of SWIM1922 and information on the importance of learning to swim and water safety for the rest of the month of May.

SWIM 1922 is a national initiative by Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. in partnership with USA Swimming Foundation designed to promote water safety, increase participation and reduce drowning rates, particularly within communities of color. The program provides hands on clinics, safety workshops and drowning prevention awareness. 🌊

Remember...."Drowning is preventable. Education + access = lives saved."
