About the Series: IJLU is a series with a storyline of the mid 80’s movie The Breakfast Club with a twist of the 2019 show All American. Six kids who
are starting high school form a friendship and help each other overcome the challenges of high school and life changing events outside of school.
I'M JUST LIKE U - "Pilot" & "Sarah's Party" When six students at Eastland High form a friendship after an unexpected event at a senior party, they learn how alike they really are.

Want to be a part of an amazing project and create an amazing team? We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual with great communication skills to help produce the series "I'm Just Like U"- Must have some experience to apply. - We will work for 5-8 days in the month of July. Contract will be provided.

During the several Black Lives Matter protest I wanted to make sure African Americans have more representation within the Film Industry. While being a writer in a time where people of my race are being mistreated I wanted to create something. The Im Just Like U series is a compelling story about five students attending Eagleson High School with their own complex backstories and future struggles. Ever since the pandemic has started there have been major hiccups in production such as finding locations, changing shooting dates and the biggest of them all; raising money for production. I wanted to create a familiar story about my (and many others) experience in high school while also hiring an all black lead cast. You don’t see much of these but it is very relatable and powerful to me. I also wanted to represent the black community in a positive way in this series. The donation for this campaign will be cover all employee pay and some sound and camera equipment. I plan to put the first episode out on YouTube for everyone to see share.
