Bearings went bad. Ruined a fully welded shaft that Vermeer updated to a newer $5831.00 drum with a replaceable shaft. I took it to a machine shop instead to weld, fill it, and re lathe it. 🤞
That chipper drum weighs 560 lbs. Thats a hard lathe to find that fits something like this. I think I found one in okc.
