Turning Point Therapeutic Riding

As we begin the start of a three day weekend, for those who recognize and celebrate Memorial Day, we’d like to re-share this message. In honor of all who have fallen, served in the past and present, we thank you all, both two and four legged.

This is the War Horse memorial at the Virginia Historical Society in Richmond. The inscription reads "In memory of the one and one half million horses and mules of the Confederate and Union armies who were killed, were wounded or died from disease in the Civil War."

This Memorial Day, honor our fallen, honor our soldiers and do not forget that for thousands of years horses, mules, donkeys and dogs fought alongside us to defend our homes, families and countries. They were not paid, rarely honored and often died in vain. Remember them, for without their contributions we would not be here.
