Silicone or Acrylic?
♦️We like them both♦️
What does your roof need?
Both offer amazing performance over a long period of time but one or the other may hold up better depending on the conditions or location of your roof.
We are more than happy to do an evaluation to find the best option for you!
- Silicone has superior moisture resistance in low slope or high moisture areas
- Acrylic can have superior elongation on roofs that have high expansion and contraction
- Silicone is moisture cure so it gives the ability to apply at times of the year when a risk of weather may be imminent
- Acrylic is less slippery so is better suited for roofs with slope
- Silicone can be applied at a higher mil thickness creating a thick durable membrane on roofs where Acrylic may be more challenging
- Acrylic is more budget friendly
