We think she may have wandered out at some point and got lost be of her weakened senses (or picked up by a bird of prey). 🚨🐈‍⬛PSA: We received this message from a woman on Nextdoor, who saw a deceased cat on Rt. 15. Please read in case you are missing your cat or know somebody that is.

I thought I would reach out directly to you as you seem very experienced in assisting people with their missing cats. At 11:30 AM today ON Rt. 15 past the Raspberry Falls light intersection-heading towards Luckettes, away from Leesburg, there was a cat in the right lane that had been ran over. I tried to pull over, but the animal had not been moving and appeared deceased. The cat had black-brown longish hair with a blue collar. The blue collar stood out. I have been trying to look through any post on here for a missing cat with a light blue collar. I’ve been trying to report the animal to Loudoun County for proper removal and identification. It broke my heart to see the collar, as that indicated it was not a wild animal. I’m still trying to reach Loudoun County and Leesburg, as that part of the road might still be under Leesburg jurisdiction. If you have any additional words of recommendation as to whom to report this to, I’ll take any suggestions. If this description happens to match any cat through any of your connections, I might be able to confirm. When I drove into Leesburg on Rte. 15 at 10:30 AM, the cat was not there, so it must have happened sometime in that hour. I can’t imagine this be any news that one would want to share- but I believe the dear cat probably has a family.
