HEAVY RAINFALL POTENTIAL | MONDAY .... Thunderstorms this afternoon and evening will likely produce TORRENTIAL DOWNPOURS in the "High" and "Very High" area.

While the "Flash Flood Guidance" is showing 1.5 to 3 inches in a 1 to 3 hour period (the amount of rain it would take in that duration to produce flash flooding), very high dew points in the mid 70's and Precipitable Water ranging 2 to 3 inches are strong indicators of a heavy rainfall potential. Watch for rapidly rising creeks and streams, and flooding across low-lying and poor drainage areas.
