What an honor to welcome Susan Zimet Director of Food Policy for the NY State Office of Temporary Disability Assistance as our guest speaker at our Staten Island Hunger Task Force 2026 Legislative Breakfast

OTDA’s Director of Food Policy, Susan Zimet, was the guest speaker at Staten Island Hunger Task Force’s legislative breakfast, where she discussed advancing food security across Staten Island and New York State.

The successful event brought together New York State representatives to highlight Governor Kathy Hochul's proposed initiatives in the Fiscal Year 2027 Executive Budget, aimed at addressing affordability, hunger, and food insecurity.

Governor Hochul’s measures seek to protect vulnerable New Yorkers and promote greater affordability for working families and communities facing rising costs.

We are thankful for the Staten Island Hunger Task Force’s continued collaboration. We appreciate everyone in attendance, including the elected officials, their representatives, and community organizations.
