F**A tip credit, leak one of seven, new series. Your accountant never filed it and your nightclub is owed the money. For an illustrative high-volume nightclub, 12 bartenders and barbacks report about $336,000 a year in tips, and the 7.65% you already paid on every reported dollar is about $25,700 in F**A tip credit you can claim on IRS Form 8846. Illustrative example.

Leak #2 of 7 is worth $9,200, and your accountant counted the wrong people.

Leak #7 of 7: the number behind every leak in this series. Take one server and the tips they report in a typical year. At 7.65%, the F**A tip credit on that one server is about $1,530. Now multiply it by every server on your floor, every year, and every open year the 45B lookback reaches. That is how one restaurant turns into tens of thousands of dollars in F**A tip credit, claimed on IRS Form 8846. Illustrative example.

Illustrative example: when 10 servers report about $300,000 a year in tips, the F**A tip credit is about $22,950 the IRS owes back, claimed on Form 8846. That is the restaurant payroll tax credit most owners never file. Like + Follow Build&Fund for the hidden-revenue tools every hospitality owner must be listening to. Leak #5 of 7: your payroll company tracks every tip and still never files your F**A tip credit. That is not what payroll software does. The credit lives on IRS Form 8846, and someone has to actually claim it. For an illustrative 40-seat diner, the 7.65% you already paid on every reported tip adds up to about $18,400 in F**A tip credit you can claim every year. Illustrative example.

Leak #6 of 7 is worth $11,400, and the new No Tax on Tips law did not touch it.
