π¨ Abuja Woman Rescued After Allegedly Being Chained by Her Brother for Over a Year
A shocking case has emerged in Abuja after the FCT Police Command rescued a 36-year-old woman, Grace Aniekuoku, who was allegedly kept in chains by her own brother for more than one year.
According to police, officers responded to a distress call and forced their way into the residence after the suspect reportedly resisted entry. The victim was found severely emaciated, chained, and living in deplorable conditions. She was immediately taken to a hospital for treatment.
Investigators say the motive behind the confinement is still being examined. While preliminary findings suggest it may be linked to efforts to stop her from making inquiries about her missing son, other unverified reports point to a possible family business dispute.
The suspect is currently in police custody as investigations continue.
