Something I grapple with from time to time is staying present and embodying "future me" as in, who would I be if my burdens were not here? That's the vibe I want to carry whenever possible.

However, when meditating on this frequency, state, or presence (pick your descriptor), I often think about what would happen if taken to the point of abandoning my concerns completely like they don't exist - this becomes akin to denial or avoidance behavior. If you have 5 bucks to your name but spend like there's a million in your account because you're manifesting your future as a multi-millionaire, you will soon see what I'm referring to!

When it comes to being fully present, as if the future you wish for is here now, it is good to remember:

Presence is not pretending everything is okay.

Presence is staying in contact with reality without abandoning yourself to it.

Being present doesn't eliminate your problems, but it puts you in a state where they don't define you or limit how you choose to interact with and move in the world as you take steps to meet the new reality you have imagined.
