Cold email outreach provides a fabulous opportunity to have meaningful business conversations.
But there’s one often-overlooked factor that can make or break the success of your campaign: timing.
Lemlist did an analysis of over 100 million emails and found that between Tuesday and Thursday are the best days to send a cold email. Here’s why:
Tuesdays: Highest open rates. People are settled into their work week and focused but not overwhelmed quite yet.
Wednesdays: A strong middle ground with balanced open rates and replies.
Thursdays: A great day for replies and conversions. People are more willing to take action before the weekend.
From the same analysis by Lemlist, they found that the best time to send cold emails is in the morning - between 8 AM and 10 AM.
The worst time? 6 PM to 10 PM.
