Kismet Creative Center started as a record store and art gallery best known for its use as a venue for small acts touring the country. Together, my partner and I provided a space to foster creative pursuits and support local artists. Approximately 2 years later, I came across a small record store not far from where Kismet used to be and found the owner in need of more stock. From there, I built a

La Chooma is getting rehomed via Discogs. That was the last copy in stock.

Also heading out the door is a copy of Safari by Toshiyuki Daitoku & Gregg Lee. If that's your speed, don't worry—we've still got extra copies waiting in our City Pop section. Another excellent release courtesy of WRWTFWW Records.

It's a gray, overcast, rainy Saturday. The kind of day made for digging through records.

We'll be here until 5 p.m.

One time Sonia and I went to this cafe on the edge of town.  There was nothing too special about it--the pie, I guess.  But years later it stuck in my mind.  To this day, I get the urge to revisit.

I hope kismet can be like that--you come visit, you buy a few things, then, down the road, for reasons that aren't exactly clear, you revisit, you remember, you want that experience again.

So maybe you bring someone next time--your lover, your best friend--and you bond over a record--or a piece of pie.  Now you get to share that experience, and the cycle starts again.

This is just to say Kismet loves you and thanks you for the support year after year.

Open Thursday-Sunday.

See you in the stacks!

I can't stop the flood of Discogs sales.

It seems like every other day, another package goes out.

The funny part--only half the stock is even listed!

Just goes to show there's a lot of gems hiding in plain sight whether you're keeping track of us online or physically making a trip to the shop.

If you've been meaning to stop by, there's plenty left to discover.

Open Thursday-Sunday.

Find us inside The Wink Incubator Space, all the way at the back.
