Have you ever wondered what you should eat before a workout? Our fitness team says: Carbs before a workout. Protein after.
For pre-workout nutrition, simple carbohydrates about 30–60 minutes before exercise can provide a quick energy boost. Avoid large amounts of protein right before exercise, as protein may cause stomach discomfort during activity. Instead, save protein for after your workout, to help with muscle recovery and repair.
