a variety of model contests at monthly meetings, model displays, kit raffles, and swap meets. The common interests among club members have created "Road Trips" to various modeling conventions, as well as to air shows and museums throughout the country. You will find many benefits as a member of IPMS Gateway. They include admittance to all club functions (including business meetings), and also eligibility to enter all local club contests. You will also receive the monthly newsletter, The Arch Scaler News, delivered to your home or e-mail inbox before the general club meeting. Club membership is honored at area hobby shops with some shops providing small discounts on purchases to members. Hobby shops require you show your current membership card to receive your discount. Of course, there are many intangible benefits from belonging to IPMS Gateway, such as sharing of modeling techniques, reference materials, trips, kit swapping and, in general, the camaraderie of friends who share your enjoyment of plastic modeling and the subjects modeled.
