Sending our condolences to O'Fallon Missouri Police Department for the loss of K9 Officer Vegas.

Per the department Police K9 Vegas, who died peacefully in his sleep last night at home.

Vegas was an 8-year-old German Shepherd and Belgian Malinois mix who faithfully served the City of O’Fallon for the last seven years. As a dual-purpose patrol canine, Vegas, and his handler Officer Matt Vegovisch, played a vital role in countless law enforcement operations, assisting in numerous criminal apprehensions and narcotics investigations throughout his career.

Beyond his work in O’Fallon, Vegas regularly assisted regional and federal partners, including Homeland Security, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and the Bureau of Alcohol, To***co, Fi****ms and Explosives (ATF). His dedication, reliability, and exceptional instincts made him a valued asset to every agency he worked alongside.

Rest easy, Vegas. We’ll take it from here.

This month is our 10 year anniversary. I'm proud of the business k9 has grown to be. I started Grooming in1996 trained by two incredible groomers. I learned that it isn't ok to cut corners. It isn't OK to not be patient with puppies. I'm so grateful to have had such training from them.
My goal has ALWAYS been to provide a SAFE place for my clients to bring their dogs, with no worries about leaving them with me.
Those standards have continued to prove very hard to keep enough staff to accommodate the amount of people that want to be k9 customers.
I can't say how much I appreciate the girls that help me everyday to love and make our fur friends beautiful. They are talented, respectful, and the customers love them. I thank them from the bottom of my heart for all they do. I couldn't do it without them.
We appreciate all of you that understand we do the best we can to accommodate, but the well-being of our pups is our main focus.
