This salsa song written and performed by Rubén Blades from the 1978 collaboration with Willie Colón, tells the tragic story of a criminal named Pedro Navaja which means “folding knife” in Spanish. And a pr******te named Josefina Wilson while the main female character in the 1984 film adaptation is named Rosa (played by Maribel Guardia).
