In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. About TED
TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) is a global movement that empowers individuals to share their work and ideas in the fields of Technology, Entertainment and Design. Yearly conferences are held and broadcasted to the world. TED is owned by the private non-profit Sapling Foundation, under the slogan: “Ideas Worth Spreading”. TED is a nonprofit organization which started as a four day conference in California almost 30 years ago, TED has grown to support its mission with multiple initiatives.
