Like many of my clients, J* came to me as a part of her journey to accept and love her body. Society's beauty standards have us turned so upside down that we struggle to simple exist in our skin and be kind to ourselves. Kind to the image we see in the mirror or the person we see in photographs of ourselves.

It is my honor and privilege to be a part of that journey for the women who come to see me. Hiring a photographer who understands light, angles, posing, and to be honest, the psyche of a woman, can be life changing. Imagine seeing photographs of yourself that you like... love even! Are you putting your best image forward professionally?

I love photographing branding content and headshot images for women... I think it is such an interesting puzzle to solve.

Can I be super real here for a minute ? Let's talk about the weight of expectations we feel when it comes to professional headshots of ourselves...

First, we are supposed to look attractive in our photographs, right? Pretty, even. But not too pretty... if we are too pretty we might not be taken seriously.

Then, we need to look competent, like the boss even. Careful though, you don't want to look bossy, or *GASP* bitchy even.

Friendly, but not unserious.

Responsible, but not uptight.

You get the idea!
