Creative Designs, Creative Solutions: One challenge with purchasing new paraments is that most of the time they are replacing paraments that, while at the end of their useful lives, were a beloved part of the church for many years, and in some cases donated or created by a beloved member of the church. A great way to honor that history is to incorporate them into the new pieces. In the images shown, the back of a new processional banner is a patchwork of textiles from older paraments and features a piece of hand needlework done by a member of the church. We have also created new stoles that incorporate pieces of older stoles, a father’s neckties, or fabric from a wedding dress. Reach out to us to talk about a similar project of your own.
