Jayson earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Missouri Valley College (Cum Laude, Honors Graduate) and his graduate certificate in Financial Planning from Howard University School of Business. Jayson takes great pride in representing clients before the government to resolve tax issues. Representing clients before the Government for tax issues including audits, collections and appeals. He has been recognized by the US Department of Treasury for his "Outstanding Contributions" in Tax Counseling. Jayson strives to stay active in community service. He is a member of the National Association of Black Accountants, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., and the Financial Planning Association.

In June of 2016 he was appointed to the City of Kirkwood's Finance Committee by Mayor Timothy Griffin. In 2017 Jayson was named one of the Best Accountants in the City of St. Louis Small Business Monthly. He was honored as one of 20 outstanding African American professionals under the age of 40, by the St. Louis American Foundation. In 2019 Jayson and THORNTON Advisor Group LLC was voted BEST Accounting Firm of the St. Louis Metro Area by St. Louis Small Business Monthly, he also won Missouri 's #1 Top Rated Financial Advisor award for 2019. In 2020 Jayson was named to the Association of African American Financial Advisors 50 Under 50 list.
