Best wishes to Mrs. Donna Militello, who retires from this summer after an outstanding 37 years! Donna was hired by former Head of School Dr. Becky Glenn when the campus consisted of just two houses(!), Fillmore and Dunbar. Over the years, "Mrs. M" taught Jr-K, Sr-K, and Grade 1, ending her decades-long tenure with Sr-K.

As she looks toward retirement, Donna hopes her former students carry one thing with them: a sense of belonging. "I hope they have the fondest memories of Forsyth," she says. "A place that helped them grow with love and security."

While her daily presence will be deeply missed, Donna's impact will continue to be felt for generations to come in the readers she inspired, the confidence she nurtured, the traditions she created, and the community she helped to shape.

Congratulations to those students in Grades 3–6 who participated in (GOTR) this spring!

GOTR is an after-school program that uses the power of running to help prepare girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living. In addition to training for a 5K, the program focuses on self-esteem, teamwork, community service, and emotional and physical health.

Girls on the Run St. Louis culminated in a non-competitive 5K for participants and their adult running buddies Downtown on Saturday, May 9. Before that, Forsyth held its own practice 5K (pictured here) in Forest Park on Wednesday, April 29.

Special thanks to Ms. Lia Acri (Grade 3), Girls On the Run Coordinator & Head Coach, plus everyone in our adult community who served as a volunteer coach, running buddy, course wayfinder, timer, or finish-line cheerleader!
