SLU Bike Patrol

The St. Louis University bike patrol is a specialty arm of DPS. With the ability to cover both inside campus and streets with ease, officers can respond to emergencies via the most direct routes. This gives them the ability to respond quickly and quietly to calls that may require a degree of silence.

All 18 officers are certified patrol cyclists through the International Police Mountain Bike Association. The officers who join the bike patrol volunteer for the assignment. They spend the vast majority of their time on bikes except during extreme inclement weather.
