While it may be difficult to distinguish between signs of dementia and the mild cognitive changes that are typical as we grow older, there are 10 early warning signs and symptoms of Alzheimer's and dementia that everyone should know. If you notice any of the warning signs in yourself or someone you know, don’t minimize or ignore them. A doctor can help determine if these are symptoms of dementia or signs of another disease that affect memory and cognition.

It’s Juneteenth — the day we commemorate the abolition of slavery in the United States. Also known as Emancipation Day and Freedom Day, it celebrates freedom for all and honors the perseverance of African Americans, as well as the ongoing journey toward racial equality.
As a faith-based organization, we recall the words of Paul, “For freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm, therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.” (Galatians 5:1)
May we embrace those words and remain ever true to the call for freedom and justice.
